Enterprise C++ and Qt codebase, Agile feature development and bug fixes.
C++ is the language I'm most fond of, which naturally puts me lower in the software stack. It's where I worked at SeisWare, building a shared memory cache with a page-table design and process synchronization, so every app in the suite could access data quickly and safely. On the rendering side, I rewrote a fragment shader in the OpenGL pipeline to move work onto the CPU, offloading strain on the GPU.
A lot of that work started as a conversation. I ran design meetings there and wrote ADRs to get agreement on the architecture before it was built. I took on a similar role as team lead for six engineers on Wizdom Run, a game that later became the subject of a paper on LLMs in game development I co-authored, published at ACM's FSE 2026.
I like sharing what I know, too. Since 2022, I've taught programming to over 150 students at Code Ninjas.
Right now, my personal goal is set on building a game engine in C++ to learn more about the mechanisms behind modern engine renditions. I'm also in my final year at the University of Calgary, working on my engineering capstone project: a biomedical, game-based solution to help post-stroke patients recover hand dexterity. Looking forward to sharing results from this study soon!
